Greetings to All,
Merry Christmas and Season's Greetings to our Native Village readers and friends! May the holidays find you safe and warm and surrounded with health, love and happiness.
There will be a change coming to Native Village next month. Beginning in January, 2014, Native Village will stop publishing its Youth and Education News editions.
But don't worry!! Native Village Publications will continue to
Publish our monthly Opportunities and Websites editions
We will also focus on updating and redesigning the Internet Youth Forum for The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. The grandmothers have been very patient.
There are several reasons for dropping Native Village News:
1. Thanks to the many online news services these days, most articles featured in Native Village News are freely available on the Internet or elsewhere. We're simply sharing their news, albeit condensed and re-designed.
2. Each production of Native Village News involves a lengthy, time-consuming process. The demands leave little time for growth. I'm fried.
3. Also, after publishing Native youth newsletters for 15 years, it's time to pursue educational opportunities and follow new paths. I'm especially excited to learn programming skills for creating interactive and educational activities for Native Youth
Thank you for the support, opportunities, and friendship you've shared during the last several years. I have enjoyed publishing the news for you, and deeply appreciate your taking time to read it. I hope our paths continue to cross through the Native Village website and elsewhere.
In 2014, as in all years past and in all years to come, let's rededicate ourselves and unite our efforts in making this world a better place for our children.
