Dr. Bill Howe
Dr. Bill Howe is the education consultant for Civil rights and Bullying, Gender Equity, and Multicultural Education at the Connecticut State Department of Education. He has given over 250 workshops, lectures and keynotes on diversity, multicultural education and organizational development. He is a regular presenter at state and national conferences and has appeared on both radio and television on diversity issues. Dr Howe is the Immediate Past-President of the National Association for Multicultural Education, based in Washington, DC. He is a member of the editorial board of Multicultural Perspectives. Along with Dr. Penelope Lisi he is co-authoring a textbook “Multicultural Education: Theory to Application” due out in 2006 by McGraw-Hill. He has traveled twice to China to study education practices and is planning his third trip for December of 2005.
Dr. Howe holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from McMaster University, a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Western Ontario, a Master's Degree in Management from Lesley University School of Management, and a Master's Degree and a Doctorate in Education from Teachers College/Columbia University.
